We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a nice person. I always enjoyed our conversations along Rush Run Road. ( I would be walking and she would stop and chat from her car.) She was such a positive person. Rush Run will miss her!

Shirley, I have so many memories of you when we were kids! In Earnshaw Grade School and Hundred High School! So many good memories and funny things!
Kids, honor your mothers memory by keeping her home and her way of life, her animals and flowers--alive! She was a person, like me, who appreciated what she had accomplished in life! I know God will honor her too--in death!

To Shirley's family----So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She and I had so much fun when we would meet at yard sales. If there were 5 in the area--we would meet at all 5 and still talk for a while. She always said "I don't need any of this stuff" but would still buy something. I will miss her and her "stories".

I I was very startled to hear of Shirley's passing, we had talked on the phone for over a hour the day before. Just loved to call her and find out if she had any money left after buying bird feed,& other food for various animals for her beer. (I don't think either of us drink.) I loved to tell her many stories to my husband &
the grandchildren. One of our favorite was the story of the dead mommy opossum & Shirley rescuing & raising the babies. If my husband was leaving the library &
Shirley was just coming in, he would turn right around so not to miss any of her "news". She was a true treasure for our area. If you didn't know her you really missed a good one. Shirley, Thank you for being my friend. You will be greatly missed by many folks; a large group of kittens & cats; lots of deer, especially her favorite one who brought her baby or babies to see her every year. Plus any other critters that needed her. And everyone that new you can say, "That Shirley, She knew how to laugh!".
