Shirley Lou Talbert, 73, of Morgantown, WV died Friday, February 3, 2012 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born February 5, 1938 at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late Wilbert H. Jones and Edna Shuman Jones.
Mrs. Talbert was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cowen, WV. Shirley was also a member of the Senior Monongalians of Morgantown. She was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School.
Surviving are her husband, Wilbur Talbert; two sons and their spouses, Tim and Candy Talbert of Daybrook and Terry and Sandy Talbert of Erbacon, WV; two brothers, Donald Jones of Oldtowne, Florida and Fred Jones of Blacksville; two grandchildren, Jennifer L. Talbert and David Talbert; and one great-grandson, Gavin Talbert Rakes.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is one sister, Joanna Robbins; one brother, Melvin Jones; and one grandson, Timothy Scott Talbert.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Olive Cemetery at Pentress with the Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating.
Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
