SHIRLEY A. TITUS

          Shirley A. Titus, 88, of Big Run, died Friday, January 2, 2026 in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.

          She was born February 5, 1937 at Big Run, a daughter of the late Edwin C. Rice and Florence A. Willey Rice.

          Mrs. Titus was a homemaker and a member of the Higgins Chapel Church of Christ.

          Surviving are two sons, James L. Titus of Big Run, Timothy E. Titus and his wife Glenda of Coburn; two daughters and their husbands, Teresa Loy and her husband Mark of New Martinsville and Brandi Carson and her husband Tim of Big Run; five grandchildren and their spouses, Greg and his wife Beth Titus, Mike and wife Katrina Wright, Lisa Wright, Jonathan Cross and his wife Mallory, and Tammy Chambers and her husband Ryan; nine great-grandchildren, Brooke and Bailey Titus, Dylan Yoho, Autumn Wright, Tobi, Maci, and Blaze Wright, Talan Chambers and Brandi Sams; four great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Sams, Serenity Wright, Dani Wright, and Oliver Cross; three brothers, Earl Rice, Donald Rice, and Carl Rice; two sisters, Susie Allen and Charlene Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Titus; one son, Ricky Titus; one daughter, Karen Cross; one grandson, Matt Titus; one daughter-in-law, Maryfay Titus; a half-sister, Louise Goodrich; two brothers, Jerry Dale Rice and Tommy Rice; and three sisters, Doris Moore, Patricia Hostuttler, and Lola Sapp.  

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026.  There will be no funeral service.  A graveside service will be held privately and burial will be in the Titus Cemetery.
