Susan L. Barr, 43, of Star City, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born September 17, 1962 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Leonard "Pete" and Judy Williams Metz of Spraggs, PA.
Mrs. Barr was a homemaker. She formerly worked at Citgo in Waynesburg, PA and the BP Station in Mt. Morris, PA. She was a protestant by faith.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, John E. Barr, Sr. of Wadestown; three sons, John, Derek, and Jacob Barr, all of Star City; two daughters, Chandra Blankenship and Shawna Barr, both of Huntington, WV; two brothers, Eugene Metz of Spraggs,PA and Billy Metz of Pine Bank, PA; one sister, Peggy Cumberledge of Spraggs, PA; one grandson, Jorden Blankenship; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Anna Metz and Dawson and Catherine Wade.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Tuesday with the Pastor Steve Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
