Varner L. “Bud” Moore, 88, of Bula died Friday, August 5, 2016 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born May 9, 1928 at Daybrook, a son of the late Lesley A. Moore and Lexie Moore Moore.
Bud was retired from Hope Gas Company after more than 36 years of service.He retired on January 1, 1987.
He was a member of the Bula Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Eleanor Sanders Moore; one son and daughter-in-law, Leslie D. Moore and is wife Roweana of Eighty Four, PA; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Walker and her husband Richard of Daybrook; four grandchildren, David, Heather, Mandi, & Megan; and six great-grandchildren, Faithlynn, Sydney, Micah, Jordan, Logan, and Gavin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard D. Moore and two sisters, Imogene Wise and Gail Church.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 5-9 PM Sunday.Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday.
Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery, Wadestown, WV.
