VIRGINIA M. GARRISON

          Virginia M. Garrison, 97, of New Freeport, PA died Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her residence.

          She was born June 14, 1924 at Hundred, WV a daughter of the late Bruce Reed and Sarah Ellen Frazier Reed.

          Mrs. Garrison was a homemaker and a mother.  She attended the Philadelphia Church of God.  She loved gardening, planting flowers, and canning lots of food.  She enjoyed family gatherings in the summer when her children came home to visit.

          Surviving is three sons, Gary Garrison of Newell, WV, Richard Garrison of Dilliner, PA, and Terry Garrison of New Freeport, PA; five daughters, Elaine Arnold of Fairmont, Vickie Garrison of Dilliner, PA, Marjorie Brumgard of Humble, TX, Linda McEvoy of Dover, PA, and Debbie Gunnoe of Fairdale, WV; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perman A. Garrison; siblings, Elizabeth Kennedy, Lillian Sterling, Dorothy Harsh, Flossie Mason, Jasper Earl Reed, Charles Reed, Joseph Reed, Scott Reed, Kelly Reed, Harry Reed, and Clarence Reed.

          Friends were received at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brian Davis officiating.  Interment was in the Garrison Cemetery.

Virginia has 14 grandchildren. In order of how our parents are listed above, the grandchildren are Gary, Michelle, Sheila, Amy, Billy, Darla, Terry Lee, Paul, Christopher, Stephen, Andrew, Jennifer, Ryan, and Austin. Wonder which two of us have been disowned by the family.
