WAITMAN WAYNE TENNANT, JR.

            Waitman Wayne Tennant, Jr., 83, of Morgantown, WV died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at his residence.

            He was born March 25, 1935 at Jakes Run, a son of the late Waitman Wayne Tennant and Vera Marie Moore Tennant.

            Mr. Tennant was retired from Fort Martin Power Plant where he worked in operations.  Wayne was also a West Virginia licensed funeral director and embalmer.

            Wayne formerly attended the Wesley United Methodist Church in Morgantown.

            Surviving are his wife, Karen Scott Tennant; two daughters, DD Tennant  and KB Tennant, both of Morgantown; one sister, Martha Lee Price of Flint, Michigan; one stepson and his wife, Marshall and Lisa Jenkins of Paradise Lake, Morgantown; five grandchildren Emily DeCosta, Nicholas LaFon, Christopher LaFon, Katy Harris, and Grace Hall; one step-grandchild, Kayleigh Jenkins; and two great-grandchildren.

            Mr. Tennant has chosen cremation as his method of disposition.  There will be a graveside service at a later date at the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.

            The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
