Waneda P. Tennant, 74, of Dee Hollow Road, (Jakes Run Community) Fairview,WV died Friday, July 28, 2006 at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1932 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Ross Eddy and Louie Virgie Eddy.
Waneda formerly worked at Morgan Shirt Factory, the Pajama Factory, and Dog & Suds in Morgantown. She was a member of the Mooresville Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband or 54 years, John P. Tennant; two sons, Edward Tennant and Stephen Tennant, both of Jakes Run; two daughters, Diana DeWitt of Jakes Run and Louie Tennant of Morgantown; one brother, Richard D. Eddy of Bula; four sisters, Shirley Ann Rogers of Kittanning, PA, Delilah Sue Tennant of Jakes Run, Regina Tennant and Patricia McCoy, both of Days Run; seven grandchildren, Robin DeWitt, Bradley DeWitt, Kevin Tennant, Beth Ann Tennant, Ashley Tennant, Stephen Tennant, and Anatasia (Annie) Tennant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley Harold Eddy, Robert Lee Eddy and two who died in infancy; and a half-brother, Edward "Ted" Varner.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 7-9 PM Sunday and from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM Tuesday with the Evangelist Herbert Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in the Brewer Cemetery, Jakes Run.
