WAYNE LEE MEFFORD
Wayne Lee Mefford, 78, of Waynesburg, PA died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his residence.
He was born June 12, 1942 at Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Dane Mefford and Ruth Morris Mefford.
Wayne was a retired iron worker and a member of Iron Workers Local #17 out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph Mefford or Lake Park, GA and Wayne Lee Mefford, Jr., and Mark Collins of Texas; three daughters, Kimberly Holbert of Bobtown, PA, Judy Orndoff of Waynesburg, and Karen Spitznogle of Mt. Morris; three brothers, Dane “Bub” Mefford, David Mefford, and Randy Mefford, all of Morgantown; three sisters, Donna Nolf, Linda Johnson, and Ruth Kilionski; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Mefford, who died on September 10, 2014; one son, Edward Mefford; and one grandson, Eddy Spitznogle.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 4, 2021. At noon we will proceed to the Cedar Grove Cemetery where a graveside service will be held immediately with Pastor James Juristy officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Thank you for always allowing me to hunt on your property and for always having a story ready to tell that would always make me laugh. You were truly one of a kind and will be missed deeply.
