William J. Liming, 84, of Pentress, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1927 at Wadestown, a son of the late Downey O. Liming and Edna Jane Cross Liming.
Mr. Liming was a retired railroad conductor, having worked for the Monongahela Railway for 45 years.
He was a life member of the Wild Wonderful Corvair Club and an avid WVU fan.
Bill was a member of the Olive United Methodist Church at Pentress.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary Evelyn Eddy Liming; two daughters, Jane Tennant of Blacksville and Janet (Phillip) Kerr of Brave, PA; one son Dave (Nancy) Liming of Jakes Run; six grandchildren, Tabatha Layton, Gary Tennant, Greg (Patty) Liming, April (Ken) Rowan, Kelly (James) Statler and Chris Kerr; ten great-grandchildren, Janelle, Jessica, and Jacob Layton, Sara Tennant, Emma and Easton Rowan, Katie Liming, and Troy, Olivia and Chloe Statler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary J. (Garrison) Liming and two brothers, Ralph Liming and Byron Liming.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the Olive United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM Friday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennant Cemetery at Pentress.
