William Lake "Shorty Bill", 84, died on Saturday, August 5, 2006 in the MonPointe Continuing Care Center in Morgantown where he had resided for the past few years.
Shorty is survived by his sister, Golda Satterfield of Fairmont; neighbors and friends, Delbert and Lue Mason, who provided much help for him in his later years at home.
In addition to these friends there are many others around the Daybrook and Blacksville area, as he enjoyed attending the Blacksville Senior Citizens and the Daybrook Methodist Church. Shorty also had many friends and caregivers who did an excellant job in providing his health care and needs at the MonPointe Continuing Care Center and at Monongalia General Hospital.
Shorty will be missed by many friends whom me considered to be his family.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at the Daybrook Cemetery with the Daybrook Methodist Church officiating.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
