William Thompson Cumberledge, 71, of Brave, PA died Monday, November 24, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born December 5, 1942 in Whitely Township, PA, a son of the late Thompson E. Cumberledge and Georgia Phillips Cumberledge.
Mr. Cumberledge last worked as a construction work for Buck Shumaker Construction Company. He was a member of the Power Praise Ministries of Pursglove, WV.
William was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving is his wife, Dinah Hayes Cumberledge; two daughters and their spouses, Sherry Cumberledge and Jason Carubia of Core and Georgia Metz and her husband Brian of Mannington; three step-sons and their spouses, David Jaggie and his wife Anita of Dilliner, PA, Ronald Jaggie of Brave, PA, and Billie Jaggie and his wife Anita of Spraggs, PA; two step-daughters and their spouses, Katrina Whipkey and her husband Charles of Holbrook, PA and Cathy Horvwalt and her husband Timothy of Dilliner, PA; three brothers, Carl Cumberledge of Brave, PA, Ammon Cumberledge of Cleveland, OH, and Robert Cumberledge of West Lake,OH; four sisters, Jane Cumberledge of Florida, Louie Katherine Henson of Florida, Annette Tetter of Florida, and Martha Rogers of Cleveland, OH; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolley Cumberledge; one sister, Leota Lemasters; and four brothers, Gary Lee Cumberledge, Ed Cumberledge, James Cumberledge, and Ray Cumberledge.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Saturday with the Pastor Joe Zarilla officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksville Cemetery.
