WILMA POSTLETHWAIT

          Wilma Dean Postlethwait, 91, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Littleton, WV, was surrounded by the love of family and friends when she was called home on October 3rd, 2025 at the New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

          She was born January 26 1934 in Cameron, WV, a daughter of the late Russell and Nellie Sampson.  She married Gail Postlethwait of Cameron, WV in 1958 and together they had two daughters, Sandra (Paul) Martin and Karen (Don) Fouchs and 63 years of love and devotion.  Mrs. Postlethwait was a homemaker, beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a member of the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail, who died on March 8, 2021; brother, Kenneth Sampson, two half-brothers, Earl W. Sampson and Frankie Sampson, one half-sister, Belva Huffman, sons-in-law, Chris Moore and Donald Fouchs, nephews, Kermit Sampson, and great-granddaughter, Hannah Young.

          In addition to her daughters, she is survived by four grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) Goddard of New Martinsville, Michelle (late husband, Chip) Wade of New Martinsville, Amanda (Philip) Miller of Atlanta, GA, and Nathan (Stephanie) Fouchs of Columbus, Ohio, sister-in-law, Lavonne Sampson, two nieces, Carol McFadden and Marcela Ross, and seven great-grandchildren.

          Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2025.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025  at1:00 PM with Pastor Dale Dudgeon officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Knob Fork.
