Wilma Lee Derby, 66, of Smithfield, WV died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 1, 1949 at New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Enos Ater and Delia Greathouse Ater.
Mrs. Derby was a homemaker and a member of the Rice Ridge Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Allen Derby, III of Hundred and David Derby of Burton; one daughter, Barbara King of Fairview; three brothers, Glenn Ater of Wileyville, Henry Ater of Alliance, Ohio, and Clyde Ater of Cameron; four sisters, Myrtle Wildman of Knob Fork, Nancy Sue Ater of Wileyville, Cookie Rogers of Pine Grove, and Mary “Tiny” Ater of Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Derby Jr.; one granddaughter, Delinda Derby; and three siblings, Enos Ater, Jr., Candy Nolan, and Jane Ater.
Friends may call at the Rice-Ridge Community Church near Littleton from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Wednesday.Funeral services will be held in the church 1:00 PM Thursday with the Rev. Everett Shreve officiating.Interment will follow in the Rice Ridge Cemetery.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
