John R. Wharton (85), loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and resident of Farmington, passed away Friday, September 29, in Fairmont. John, a friend to many in the communities of Boothsville, Farmington, and his longtime residence of Littleton, was a tireless supporter of the United Methodist Church.

          Janet R. Pierce, 85, of Deep Valley, PA died Thursday, September 28, 2023 at her residence.

          She was born May 6, 1938, at Strabane, PA, a daughter of the late Elton Hartman and Mamie Bitonti Hartman.

JAMES P. KENNEDY James Perry Kennedy, 94, of Laurel Point, formerly of the Wadestown area died on August 30, 2023 at his home. He was born October 21, 1928 at Wadestown, a son of the late Luther Jackson Kennedy and Dessie Dora (Lemley) Kennedy. He was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a retired member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #152.

LOIS ROSE TUSTIN

          Lois Rose Tustin, 80, of Hundred, WV died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.

          She was born July 30, 1943 at Coburn, a daughter of the late Gail Ensminger and Ruth Hinerman Ensminger.

          Lois was a homemaker and a member of the Sancho Church of Christ.

Marilyn Elaine Thomas (Wallace), 83, passed away on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, at her home in Knob Fork, West Virginia after a brief battle with kidney failure. She was born on December 1st, 1939, in DuBois, Pennsylvania to Wayne and Virginia (Boyer) Wallace Flanders.

NORMA JEAN “NAN” TUTTLE
Norma Jean “Nan” Tuttle, 95, of Crossroads, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 in the Personal Care at Evergreen in Waynesburg, PA. with her family by her side.
She was born December 9, 1927 at Cassville, a daughter of the late O. E. “Red” Seaman and Hazel Hamilton Seaman.
Nan was a homemaker and a member of the Miracle Run United Methodist Church.

Betty Jo Shaver died peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, August 24th at Morgantown Healthcare Center (Stonerise) in Morgantown, WV. She was formerly from Wadestown, WV in Monongalia County. She was born July 13, 1923, in Grant Town, West Virginia reaching the milestone of 100 years. She was a daughter of the late Carl Everett and Nellie Barr Tennant.

NICHOLAS EUGENE FLETCHER

          Nicholas Eugene Fletcher, 69, of Hundred, WV died Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his residence following a battle with liver cancer.

          He was born at Fairmont, a son of the late Clifford E. Fletcher and Mona Lee Booth Fletcher.

          Mr. Fletcher was a retired coal miner.

          Kimberly Hope McDiffitt, 54, of Burton, WV left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

          She was born November 7, 1968 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Ronnie Hostuttler and the late Kathryn Spragg Hostuttler of Knob Fork, WV.

Preston Edward Kuhn, 22, of Burton, WV died Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Mannington.
He was born August 6, 2000 at Morgantown, a son of Edward D. Kuhn and Jessica Lee Britton Kuhn.
