John E. Kimble Sr., 85, of Brown’s Run, New Freeport, PA died peacefully in his sleep Dec. 30 after a long illness. Mr. Kimble was a retired master sergeant and aircraft mechanic in the U.S Air Force, serving with distinction from 1944 to 1967, with active duty in WWII and the Korean Conflict and combat duty in the Vietnam War.

William O. Cunningham, 79, of New Freeport, PA and formerly of Steubenville, OH died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his residence.

He was born December 13, 1932 at Mannington, WV, a son of the late William Okey Cunningham and Mattie B. Carpenter Cunningham.

Bill was a retired meat cutter from the Kroger Company. He was a graduate of Hundred High School.

Edith Miller, 90, of Littleton, WV died Monday, December 26, 2011 in the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.

She was born September 16, 1921 at Paden City, a daughter of the late Cary Cain and Lillian Postlethwaite Cain.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.

She was born June 9, 1914, the daughter of the late William S. Wells and Delphia Childers Wells.

He was born August 30, 1926, at Wana, the son of the late Thomas B. Simpson and Minerva Wise Simpson.

She was born June 6, 1956 in Wheeling, WV.

Ms. Jackson was president of the Earl Kiger American Legion Post #120 Ladies Auxillary of Hundred and she was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 1054 of Mannington. She was a protestant by faith.
