          Katie M. Miller, 88, of the Hundred area died Monday, February 10, 2025 in the WVU Medicine Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.

          She was born April 4, 1936 at Wileyville on Fairview Ridge, a daughter of the late James Wykert and Rena Hutchinson Wykert.

Earl Dane (Buddy) Shafer, 77, of Coatesville, PA passed away peacefully at home in his favorite chair on Sunday February 9, 2025, preparing to watch the Super Bowl.  Earl was born on September 14, 1947 in Morehead, KY to Hugh M.

STEVEN WAYNE DERBY

          Steven Wayne Derby, 70, of Littleton, WV died Monday, February 3, 2025 at his residence.

          He was born January 29, 1955 in New Martinsville, a son of the late Allen Effort Derby and Bettie Tanley Derby.

          Steve formerly worked on the railroad.  He was a member of the Rice Ridge Community Church.

KAREN ANN CRAWFORD

          Karen Ann Crawford, 59, of Spraggs, PA died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her residence.

          She was born March 22, 1965 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Ronald Kozak and Mary Trimpey Kozak.

          Mrs. Crawford worked as a home healthcare aide.

JOANN TAYLOR

          JoAnn R. Taylor, 56, of Rivesville, WV died Thursday, January 30, 2025 in the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

          She was born November 22, 1968 at Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Edgar J. Wise and Joyce Sine Wise.

          Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.

MARY M. KENT

          Mary M. Kent, 79, of Morgantown, WV died Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.

          She was born May 11, 1945 at Pine Bank, PA a daughter of the late John Kent and Helen Snell Kent.

          Miss Kent was an Administrative Assistant at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown for many years.

RICHARD LEE MILLER

          Richard Lee Miller, 90, of Brave, PA died Sunday, January 19, 2025 in We Care at Rolling Meadows in Waynesburg, PA.

          He was born January 5, 1935 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Homer F. Miller and Margaret Viola Zimmerman Miller.

                                Robert “Bob” Theodore Durst, 86, of Blacksville, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on January 18, 2025.  He was born on February 18, 1938 in Emoryville, Mineral County, West Virginia, the oldest of four children to the late Luther William Durst and Susanna Aronhalt Durst.

Thomas Wood Sanders, 86, of Wadestown, died Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, surrounded by his family.
Tom was born May 21, 1938 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of the late Ralph Remembrance Sanders and Aileen Louise McQuaid Sanders.

          Kathy Pauline Spencer, 55, of New Freeport, PA died Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

          She was born February 24, 1969 at Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of the late Roger Phillips and Virginia Kennedy Grant of Cameron.

          Kathy was a homemaker.
