Marvin Dale Tennant, 90 of Jakes Run, passed away in his home, Wednesday, July 10, 2013 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born June 18, 1923 at Jakes Run, a son of the late Chuck and Gladys Moore Tennant.
Dale was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army and was honored with two Purple Hearts.
"Jeffro" retired from Consol, Osage #3 mine in 1985.
Melvin G. Tennant, 71, passed away at his home in San Mateo, CA. He previously lived and attended school in Hundred, WV.
He was born February 14, 1938 to Cloman J. Tennant and Frances Loraine (Laura) Tennant in Fairview, WV.
Surviving is one brother, Norman Tennant of Hundred, WV and 27 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Helen D. Eddy, 97, of Jakes Run, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her residence.
She was born June 10, 1916 at Core, a daughter of the late Charles Ross Henderson, Sr. and Nora Miller Henderson.
Mrs. Eddy was a home maker and a member of the Jakes Run United Methodist Church.
Ernest L. Koontz, 93, of Hundred, WV died Thursday, July 4, 2013 in the New Martinsville Health Care Center in New Martinsville.
He was born November 30, 1919 at New Martinsville, a son of the late Edward Koontz and Clara Haught Koontz Watkins.
Mr. Koontz was retired from Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation where he worked as a plant operator.
Catherine Rose McGlumphy McMasters, 85, of Metz, WV peacefully departed on her journey to heaven on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 and was welcomed by her husband Harold F. McMasters. She was born on October 24, 1927 in Littleton, WV a daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred McGlumphy.
Catherine was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Garry Lee Cordray, 71, of Core, WV died June 22, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born in Morgantown on September 18, 1941. A son of the late Claude Cordray and Mabel King Cordray. Mr. Cordray attended the New Hope Christian Outreach Center in Everettville. He grew up building and working on cars and tractors.
Jerika Danyell Tedrow, 19 days old, died Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was born June 3, 2013 at Morgantown, a daughter of Christopher Tedrow and Angela Manuel. Surviving in addition to her parents are one sister Breeonna Lee Tedrow; maternal grandparents Dale and Sharon Kirkpatrick; paternal grandparents William Tedrow and Linda Plantz; two uncles Fred Manuel, Jr.
Nancy Carol Tustin Fox passed away on June 21, 2013 in Elkins, WV. She was born on June 29, 1941 to the late Fred and Rebecca Tustin.
Cynthia Marie Summers, 32, of Littleton, WV died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at her residence.
She was born October 10, 1980 a daughter of Charles Derby of Littleton and Cynthia Robinson of St. Marys.
Mrs. Summers was a member of the Long Valley Baptist Church.
Wilborn Jack Whitlatch, age 74, Morgantown, WV passed away early Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013. He died in his sleep. Jack was born February 3, 1939 at his family’s residence near Wind Ridge, PA. His father was Charles Ambrose Whitlatch and mother was Grace Ardella Parsons Whitlatch.
