Harry Oscar "Ozzie" Jones, 67, of Plum Run, Mannington, WV died July 30, 2006 at Fairmont General Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 19, 1939 in Mannington, the son of the late David Arlington Jones and the late Eleanor Kennedy Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Meicke Jones.

John David Baird, of Wadestown, WV died July 14, 2006. It was his 78th birthday.

Well known around Monongalia County for his expertise in the construction and renovation of log homes, John's talents were many and varied.

At age 17 he served in the United States Army of Occupation and was stationed in Austria.
