            Sylvia J. Eddy, 72, of Daybrook died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

            She was born November 22, 1945 in Marion County, the daughter of the late Joseph Francis Fluharty and Edna Virginia Fordyce Fluharty.

            Violet Rae Hixenbaugh Ammons Pido, 95, of Blacksville, WV died Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown.

            She was born February 9, 1923 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Arthur R. Hixenbaugh and Laura Catherine Keck Hixenbaugh.

atOSCAR “JIM” SMITH

            Oscar Richard “Jim” Smith, 82, passed away, Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury, NC.

            He was born October 10, 1935 in Waynesburg, PA.  He was the son of the late Ova Roberts and Oscar Smith.

RACHEL LEWIS

            Rachel Leah Lewis, 78, of Daybrook, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her residence.

            She was born October 15, 1939 at Daybrook, a daughter of the late Stacey Chisler and Ethel Moore Chisler.

            Rachel was a retired custodian for the Monongalia County Board of Education.  She was affiliated with the Daybrook Methodist Church.

KENNETH BUTRICK

            Kenneth Carl Butrick, 67, of Littleton, WV died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.

            He was born September 28, 1949 in Portland, Oregen, a son of the late James Butrick and Patricia Hall Butrick.

            Ken was a retired employee of Pella Window Company.  He was a United States Army veteran.

OMA JUNE TAYLOR

            Oma June Taylor, 85, of Hundred, WV died Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Genesis New Martinsville Health Care Center.

            She was born June 28, 1932 at Bee Bee, WV a daughter of the late Clarence Arvel Price and Geneva L. Parsons Price.

            June formerly worked as a nurse’s aide at the New Martinsville Health Care Center.

MARY MARTHA COTTRELL

            Mary Martha Cottrell, 78, of Wana, WV died Thursday, May 17, 2018 at residence with her family by her side.

            She was born November 5, 1939 at Wana, a daughter of the late Emmet “Bud” Wilson and Mary “Fern” King Wilson.

JAMES W. HAUGHT

James Wilford Haught, 85, of Jakes Run, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1932 at Fairview, a son of the late Edwin “John” Haught and Maude Bissett Haught.

Mr. Haught was a retired welder and construction worker.  He was a United States Air Force veteran.  He attended the Jakes Run Assembly of God.

GEORGE W. “Sonny” WILLARD

George W. “Sonny” Willard, 82 of Cassville was reunited with his wife, family, and friends that had gone on before him on Monday, May 14, 2018.

            He was born June 9, 1935 at Days Run, a son of the late Joe Carl Willard and Ola Marie Varner Willard.

NEIL C. NORRIS

            Neil Clinton Norris, 88, of Windy Ridge Road, Littleton, WV died Saturday, May 12, 2018 of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

            Mr. Norris was born January 5, 1930 at Wheat, WV, a son of the late Howard Clinton Norris and Ulah Sapp Norris.

            Neil was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army.
