He was born April 12, 1957 at Deep Valley, PA, a son of the late Phillip F. Miller and Margaret Joan Mackey Miller.
Doug worked as a railroad laborer for 36 years. In 1999 he retired with a disability. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Lydia Frances Wilkinson, 68, of Carmichaels, PA and formerly of Miracle Run, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born October 16, 1940 at Miracle Run, a daughter of the late James C. Tuttle and Irene Bane Tuttle.
Grethel I. "Gertie" Simpson, 62, of Spraggs, PA died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her residence.
She was born January 28, 1947 at Spraggs, PA, a daughter of the late George L. Simpson and Margaret Holt Simpson Wilson.
Ms. Simpson worked several years for the West Greene School District as a cafeteria aide and as a custodian.
Meryle Ester Gump, 73, of Hundred, WV died Monday, July 13, 2009 in Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.
She was born March 7, 1936 at Littleton, WV a daughter of the late Isaiah Gump and Nona Fordyce Gump.
Meryle was a homemaker. She had been a resident of the New Martinsville Health Care Center since 1994 as a result of a head injury sustained in a home invasion.
Scott Eugene Varner, 43, of Brave, PA died Friday, July 10, 2009 as the result of an accidental drowning.
He was born March 4, 1966 at Waynesburg, PA, a son of Warren H. Varner, Jr. of Wana, WV and Bessie Six Varner Stiles of Brave, PA.
Ronald P. Lemley, 68, of Mt. Morris, PA died Saturday, July 4, 2009 in the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.
He was born February 16, 1941 at Perry Township, Greene County, PA, a son of the late Walter H. Lemley and Evelyn Wade Lemley.
Mr. Lemley was a retired construction worker.
Charles E. Hawkins, 74, of Hundred, WV died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born December 9, 1934 at Proctor, WV a son of the late John T. Hawkins and Mildred Francis Kimble Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins was a retired truck drive from Alcan in Canada. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Russell Core, Jr., 88, Buckeye Road, Core, WV died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence.
He was born June 19, 1921 at Wadestown, WV, a son of the late Russell H. Core and Hazel Rice Core.
Mr. Core was retired from Pennzoil where he had worked for more than 32 years. He last worked as a terminal manager.

John C. Booth, 67, of Littleton, WV died Saturday, June 20, 2009 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born May 30, 1942 on Sugar Run Road near Littleton, a son of the late Lee C. Booth and Mabel Haught Booth.
