Mabel L. White, 95, of Waynesburg, PA died Thursday, February 9, 2006 in the Beverly Health Care Center in Waynesburg, PA.

Mrs White was born December 30, 1910 near Brave, PA in Monongalia County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Owens Cummins.

Lance Corporal Steven Lee Phillips, 27, of Spraggs, PA died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in Al Qaim, Iraq of injuries sustained in a humvee rollover.

Steven was born April 27, 1978 in Waynesburg, PA a son of James C. Phillips and Paulette Tennant Phillips of Spraggs, PA.

Susan L. Barr, 43, of Star City, died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born September 17, 1962 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Leonard "Pete" and Judy Williams Metz of Spraggs, PA.

Mrs. Barr was a homemaker. She formerly worked at Citgo in Waynesburg, PA and the BP Station in Mt. Morris, PA. She was a protestant by faith.

Bessie C. Bean, 74, of Blacksville (MacDale Community) died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at her residence.

Mrs. Bean was born September 13, 1931 at Pierce, WV a daughter of the late George Sayers and Bessie Sheppard Sayers.

Mrs. Bean was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Blacksville Food Pantry. She attended the Blacksville United Methodist Church.

Carol Lorraine Tennant Thomas, 79, of Fairview (Jakes Run Community) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She departed this life peacefully, having fought a long and courageous battle against cancer. Her faith and trust in God were without measure.

Brennan Makai Rose, 6 week old infant son of Christopher P. and Nicole L. Walls Rose died Monday, January 23, 2006.

He was born December 11, 2005 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Violet Marie Powell Strosnider, formerly of Waynesburg, PA passed away January 19, 2006. She was born October 5, 1911 in Wrights Run and was a daughter of the late James and Margaret Powell.

Henrietta Thomas, 72, of Hundred, WV died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at her home after a short illness. She was born July 10, 1933 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Youmans, her mother, Ressie Youmans Metcalf, and a sister, Clara Groves.

William N. Baker, Jr. 78, of Metz, WV died Thursday, January 5, 2006 at his residence.

He was born May 15, 1927 at States Fork (Metz) a son of the late Nicholas Baker and Harriett Elizabeth Swain Baker.

Mr. Baker was a farmer who raised cattle and horses.

Marvin G. Tennant, 80, of Cassville, WV died Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in the Morgantown Dialysis Center in Morgantown.

He was born December 4, 1925 at Core, WV, a son of the late Jessie Earl Tennant and Corda Curfman Tennant.
