Staff Sergeant Robert Lee Newberry, 61, of Burton, West Virginia, retired from the United States Army Reserves in 2000; born in Birmingham, Alabama June 11, 1944, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Newberry was a part of the clinical nursing staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital and received awards for good nursing care.
Essie Mae Metheny, 86, of Farragut, TN and formerly of the New Freeport, PA (Garrison Ridge) area went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2005 in Farragut. Essie was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis (Ben) Metheny, who died on June 19, 1998.
Marjorie H. Murphy, 95, formerly of Littleton, WV died Sunday, July 17, 2005 in the Rivergate Health Care Center in Riverview, Michigan.
For the last several years Mrs. Murphy lived with all of her children on a rotating basis.
She was born May 31, 1910 at Knob Fork, WV a daughter of the late William C. Showalter and Grace Carney Showalter.
Harold Yoho, 79, of Wileyville, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born September 27, 1925 at Wheat, WV a son of the late Jacob and Nellie Cross Yoho
James Michael Craft, 51, of Hundred (formerly of Washington, PA) died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at his residence in Hundred.
He was born October 16, 1953 at Rochester, PA a son of the late Clarence E. Craft and Mildred L Girting Craft Gallagher.
Mr. Craft was a cabinetmaker by profession.
Surviving are two sons, Cody Craft and Mikeal Craft, both of Wileyville.
Henry Ponzoo, 50, of Spraggs, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at home. He was born June 6, 1955 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. The son of the late Leroy and the late Gaynelle Edgar Ponzoo.
Waldo A. Berry, Sr., 88, of Jakes Run Road, Fairview, WV, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
He was born November 20, 1916, in Jakes Run Road, Fairview, a son of the late Allen "Buck" and the late Clara Olive Tennant Berry.
Irene C. Dean, 88, of Wileyville, WV died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at her residence.
She was born March 18, 1917 at West Milford, WV a daughter of the late Harry Six and Bessie Lemley Six Wolfe.
Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and a methodist by faith.
Kenneth R. King, Sr, 77, of Crossroads Road, Wadestown, WV died Tuesday, June 7, 2005 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born August 15, 1927 at Crossroads, a son of the late Mary Ethel King.
Lillian Garrison, 86, of Walla Walla, Washington, formerly of Hundred, died Saturday, June 4, 2005 in the Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla, WA.
She was born September 6, 1918 in Greene County, Pennsylvania to William David and Haddie Gwynn Hall. A 1936 graduate of Blacksville High School, she married Robert Maple Garrison of Wadestown, WV in 1939.
