MARY SUE TENNANT
Mary Sue Tennant, 87, of Daybrook, died Sunday, October 12, 2025 at her residence.
She was born January 16, 1938 on Days Run, near Daybrook, a daughter of the late Jesse Paul Willard and Laura B. Varner Willard.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker. She attended the Mooresville Church of Christ.
Lila O Haught, of Bula, passed away Monday evening, October 6, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on June 27, 1935, Lila was the daughter of Dan and Hazel Owens of Daybrook. On October 31, 1953, Lila married Francis Ray “Pete” Haught. She moved to the farm and became his loving, caring, hardworking farmer’s wife for 71 years.
WILMA POSTLETHWAIT
Wilma Dean Postlethwait, 91, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Littleton, WV, was surrounded by the love of family and friends when she was called home on October 3rd, 2025 at the New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Richard “Dick” Bartholomew, 81, of Pentress, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born 17 October 1943, in Bradford, PA, he was the loving son of Marian and Louise Bartholomew. He shared a close bond with his brothers, Ronnie and Bob Toothman, and Jack Bartholomew. They were a fun-loving gang of boys well into adulthood.
WILLIAM E. HEMMER
William Edward Hemmer, 84, of Mooresville Community, Fairview, WV died Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at his residence.
He was born October 9, 1940 at Lockport, NY, a son of the late Edward Hemmer and Marie Murphy Hemmer.
Mr. Hemmer was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and he was Catholic by faith.
JANET RUTH EDDY
Janet Ruth Eddy, 83, of Daybrook, died Monday, September 29, 2025 at her residence.
She was born December 10, 1941 at Wadestown, a daughter of the late Stanley Mason and Edna Gump Mason.
Mrs. Eddy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ.

Sharon Kathleen “Kathy” Roberts, 72, of Plum Run Community, Mannington, WV died Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born August 25, 1953 at Portland, Oregon; a daughter of the late James Butrick and Patricia Hall Butrick.
DORIS JEAN SHUMAN
Doris Jean Shuman, 92, of Masontown, WV died Monday, September 15, 2025 at her residence.
She was born September 18, 1932 at Morgansville, WV, a daughter of the late Cornelius V. Cain and Ethel Anderson Cain.
Mrs. Shuman formerly worked at West Virginia University as a cook.
DINAH DARLENE WISE
Dinah Darlene Wise, 68, of Waynesburg, PA died Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the WeCare at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born November 27, 1956 at Hundred, WV a daughter of the late Ezra Sylvester Wise and Hazel Hostutler Wise.
Darlene worked as an aide caring for senior citizens in their homes.
