Frances Carol Hamilton Puhalla, 53, of Daybrook, died February 3, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Carol was born March 3, 1962 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Frances Harriett Michael Hamilton of Daybrook and the late Johnnie Dee Hamilton.

She was married to Steven J. Puhalla for 30 years. They have one son, Nathan J. Puhalla, all of Daybrook.

Evelyn Price, 82, of Mannington, WV died Monday, January 25, 2016 at her residence.

She was born September 20, 1933 at Punxsutawney, PA, a daughter of the late Arthur Barnett and Mary Hope Heberling Barnett.

Mrs. Price worked at many jobs during her lifetime.She was a loving homemaker, wife, mom, sister, and grandma.

Johnella Goddard, 39, of Spraggs, PA died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 22, 1977 at Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late Willis M. Wise and Betty Jean Phillips Wise.

Ms. Goddard was a homemaker.

Fred Earnest Phillips died Sunday January 17th, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana, his home of 28 years. Fred was born on June 16th, 1930 in Midland, Pennsylvania, to Floyd Earnest “Poker” Phillips and Grace Dixon Phillips. Raised in the town of Hundred, West Virginia, Fred grew up working hard in the rural Appalachian town where he was surrounded by family and friends.

Bonita G. “Bonnie” Moore, 66, of Wadestown, WV died Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born April 23, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Charles A. Grimes and Oneita Stockdale Grimes, who both survive of New Freeport, PA.

Bertha Belle Wilson, 85, of Jakes Run, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born November 2, 1930 in Blacksville, a daughter of the late Johnny D. Brewer and Mabel Varner Brewer.

Nancy C. Yost, 82, of Morgantown, WV died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at her residence.

She was born April 30, 1933 at (Panther Lick) near Rivesville, a daughter of the late Ray Straight and Linnie B. Haught Straight.

Mrs. Yost was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. Nancy loved gardening and working with her flowers.

Bessie Core, 91, formerly of Buckeye Road, Core, died Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Point Manor Personal Care Home in Point Marion, PA.

She was born November 24, 1924 at Metz, WV, a daughter of the late William Smith and May Lemley Smith.

Mrs. Core was a homemaker and a member of the Buckeye United Methodist Church.

Christina Marie Neely Tenney, 37, of Fredericktown, PA died Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Clairton, PA having fought a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 17, 1978 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of John Neely and Shirley Anderson Neely of New Freeport, PA.

Charles Robert “Chuckie” Calvert, 12, of Waynesburg, PA died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He was born November 7, 2003 in Morgantown, WV, a son of Richard Calvert and Judy Bell Calvert.
